A Day In Budapest

STOP, before you read this post have you seen my first blog post of my travelling series? Starting with A Day In Berlin right here > http://www.blogalittlelife.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/a-day-in-berlin.html

So next up we went to Budapest...
It was a lovely city with lots to do and see! The weather was not the best when we were there, a little cloudy and sometimes a drizzle of rain but that did not dampen our spirits.

It was a lovely relaxed morning, starting off the day with a delightful coffee

First up the Budapest Spa. It was so lovely and relaxing, the pools were all warmed up by the springs below it. There were two outdoor pools and loads of pools inside too! All the pools were at different temperatures some as cold as what felt like 0 degrees and some lovely and warm at 30 or 40 degrees! It was all so therapeutic I found and just what I needed after a busy time in Berlin... But not for long!

We headed off for another sightseeing day...

Budapest Parliament

We got to the Parliament just in time to see the changing of the guards and the raising of the Hungarian flag.

We were going to take the lift to the top of Castle Hill however it was only a short hike to the top therefore we walked it... And got some amazing views!

river of the Parliament

In the Budapest Gardens watching the
dancing fountain.

Into the Budapest Cathedral we go...

It was so beautiful inside and everything was ornately decorated in such fine detail.

And that was the end of our time in Budapest, unfortunately I did not capture dinner but did capture this:

Beautifully lit up church.
